NINTENDO 64
NINTENDO 64

The Nintendo 64 is a fifth-generation home console developed and marketed by Nintendo and released in June 1996 in Japan, September 1996 in North America, and March 1997 in Europe and Australia. It was the last major home console to use the ROM cartridge as its primary storage format and the first console to offer the real three-dimensional gaming experience with high quality titles and still genuine milestones in their kind. Several add-ons were released, including Rumble Pak to provide force feedback while playing, Transfer Pak to transfer games data with Game Boy and 64DD for data storage, games and internet connection to dedicated online service Randnet for e-commerce, online gaming, and media sharing. The Nintendo 64 was discontinued in mid 2002 with 32,93 million units sold and following the launch of its successor, the GameCube, in 2001.
